Annie’s Flats is a mixed-use new construction consisting of studio and one-bedroom multi-family residential housing, retail space, and covered parking. The building’s design was influenced by the historic Montgomery Wards building which is located just north on 4th Avenue and which has since been remodeled into artist studios. Incorporated along the façade at ground level is artist Mari Gardner’s stained and fused glass mosaic, Weaving Tides. Also by the artist, a sculptural wing of steel, stained glass, and fused glass is suspended at the building’s most prominent corner above the intersection.
