Located at 9106 Martin Way, E in Lacey, the Homes on Martin project is a new Mixed-use Multifamily Residential building housing 96 dwelling units in its two wings. To foster multiple uses within its core, the building has rentable retail spaces, a drive-through café, office, common gym area, storage facilities, two levels of parking and a driveway circulating around the building providing access to these amenities.
The project has incorporated various LEED Silver equivalent strategies to remain responsible to its environment using vernacular materials, rooftop solar panels with ground level monitor so the public can track the benefits gained, energy recovery heat pumps, EV charging stations, a shared electric bike program for the tenants and LID stormwater retention pond flocked by an expansive pedestrian landscaped area. The special attention to Architectural detail through variation in color, materials, building articulation, and decorative rooflines in its Tripartite façade helps the building retain human scale while being distinctive in its character.
