THOMAS ARCHITECTURE STUDIOS
Ron began his architectural career over 45 years ago, in Olympia. Over the past 24 years, Ron has been the President and Managing Principal of Thomas Architecture Studios (TAS) (2006 - present) and Thomas Cook Fitzgerald (TCF) Architecture (1995 - 2006). A POSITIVE IMPACT ON OUR LOCAL COMMUNITIES The ongoing reputation of our firm is built on over 45 years of consistent successful projects. These are the result of experienced teams, inspired designs, respect from the building industry and, most importantly, satisfied clients and communities. We take pride in the impact our firm has had on the renaissance of communities throughout the Puget Sound Region. COMMUNITY AND COMMITMENT At TAS, we take our social responsibility seriously and understand that collaboration is key when it comes to improving communities. Several of our staff serve in board leadership positions or are members for organizations such as the Olympia Downtown Association, American Institute of Architects – Southwest Washington Chapter, Thurston County Roundtable, The Washington Center for Performing Arts, and Big Brothers Big Sisters to name a few. TAS is often asked to speak or present in front of large groups, and we believe this is the result of our positive reputation and ability to connect and build trust within our community. DESIGN AWARDS TAS has won many prestigious awards, including the 2016 Futurewise Livable Communities Award, the 2016 Olympia Rotary Environmental Protection Award, the 2017 AIA/SWW Merit Award, the 2017 City of Olympia Design Review Board Merit Award, and a finalist for the Thurston EDC Small Business of the Year Award. In November 2017, Ron Thomas was awarded the Charles T. Pearson, FAIA Honor Award by the American Institute of Architects Southwest Washington. TAS was recognized in 2019 as the recipient of the Economic Impact Award for our innovative approach to urban design and for our active role in improving our community. JOIN OUR TEAM
