West Bay Yards project is a new five building mixed use multifamily waterfront development located on West Bay Drive in Olympia, Washington. The 478-unit development comprises of about 20,000 SF. of Commercial space which includes a water facing double height Restaurant space, state-of-the-art Gym with pool, Cafes, Community gathering spaces, stores and live/work units spread across the five buildings throughout the site which enables a self-sufficient urban lifestyle.
These amenities are tied together by three 50’ wide public pedestrian corridors and a Grand Central 80’ corridor running between the buildings and culminating at the Waterfront Trail Esplanade along the East waterside of the project enabling public access to waterfront and recreational activities like kayaking.
The construction of five buildings is on top of an elevated public plaza that aligns with West Bay Drive keeping habitable uses above flood plain level. The plaza is connected by 5 pedestrian access points directly from West Bay Drive and two vehicular access points on the North and South of the site. About 830 parking spaces will be located both above and below the plaza level with a majority located below the grade maintaining the aesthetic appeal of the project.
